As a Tech Team Lead at Twari, you'll manage a team of 3-5 engineers while staying hands-on with code. You'll be responsible for team performance, technical quality, and shipping features that delight users. This role is perfect for someone who loves both building great products and helping engineers grow.
What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of 3-5 frontend or backend engineers
- Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning
- Collaborate with product and design to define roadmap and priorities
- Write code and review pull requests to maintain technical quality
- Hire and onboard new engineers as the team grows
- Foster a positive, inclusive team culture focused on learning and shipping
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- 2+ years of team lead or engineering management experience
- Strong technical skills with hands-on coding ability
- Experience with agile development and sprint planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Track record of building and retaining high-performing teams
Nice to Have
- Experience managing remote or distributed teams
- Background in consumer social or discovery products
- Experience scaling teams from 5 to 20+ engineers
- Strong coaching and mentorship abilities
