About the Role
Keep Twari safe and welcoming for all users. Build content moderation policies, review systems, and safety features.
As our first Trust & Safety Specialist, you'll establish the foundation for keeping Twari safe, welcoming, and authentic. You'll design moderation workflows, build safety policies, and work with engineering to implement proactive safety features. This role requires a balance of empathy, judgment, and a deep understanding of online community dynamics.
What You'll Do
- Develop and enforce community guidelines and content policies
- Review flagged content and make moderation decisions
- Build scalable moderation workflows and tools
- Work with engineering to implement automated safety systems
- Handle user reports and appeals with empathy and consistency
- Monitor emerging safety trends and adapt policies accordingly
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of trust & safety, content moderation, or community management experience
- Deep understanding of online safety issues and platform abuse patterns
- Strong judgment and ability to make nuanced moderation decisions
- Experience building content policies and moderation guidelines
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive content with professionalism
Nice to Have
- Experience with image-based or visual content moderation
- Background in policy development or legal compliance
- Knowledge of CSAM detection and reporting requirements
- Experience with ML-based content moderation tools
